He was also an adjunct professor of law at Seoul National University, College of Law, South Korea’s top undergraduate school of law.

Mr Choi served as a judge for over 20 years (2001 to 2022) and retired as a judge of the Seoul High Court, where he was in charge of antitrust/competition and labour cases as a head judge and presiding judge in the Administrative Division. He was also in charge of tax cases as an associate judge while serving at the same court, and dealt with administrative cases at the Daejeon High Court.
