Verheij has many years of experience in all aspects of litigation. The Brande & Verheij team has acted as counsel in regular court proceedings and arbitrations for, inter alia, large (construction) companies, munici- palities, claims foundations and health insurers. This experience includes one of the first collective actions in the Netherlands and successfully defending one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world in a Dutch collective action. Bas Lem specialises in civil law proceedings and has extensive experience in disputes involving construction and contracting law, corporate law and calculation of damages, both in regular court and in arbitration. Bas also represents both commercial and public parties in disputes that are at the interface of public and private law. When conducting proceedings, Bas quickly familiarises himself with the subject matter in complex technical cases, so that he can translate the technical and legal aspects of a case. Bas also has many years of programming experience, which he uses for advanced data analysis of his cases.

experience includes three of the largest antitrust damages actions in the Netherlands, in which he acts on behalf of different claimants, and successfully defending a pharmaceutical company in a Dutch collective action.
