Chapman Tripp, Kate has worked at Tompkins Wake for the past 15 years and she now heads Tompkins Wake’s dispute resolution and litigation team. Kate has acted in significant proceedings at all levels of the New Zealand courts as well as in arbitrations. She regularly advises corporate clients, local government entities, and agri-business companies. Kate’s expertise spans public law, insurance litigation, and cross-border matters and she has acted for the plaintiffs in a major New Zealand class action.

Jessica spent six years in London with Hausfeld and Clifford Chance, managing cross-border disputes, competition litigation, including follow-on class actions, and regulatory investigations for multinational clients. On returning to New Zealand, she acted for clients including the Commerce Commission, NZTA Waka Kotahi and the Ministry of Education. Since joining Tompkins Wake in 2024, Jessica has continued to lead significant arbitration and High Court proceedings.
