Alexander J. Poblador obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of the Philippines (U.P.) in 1974, cum laude. He received his Bachelor of
Dino Vivencio A. A. Tamayo obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the Philippines in 1984 and his Bachelor of Laws (second honours) from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1989. He passed
Laws from the same university in 1978, graduating cum laude and valedictorian. He placed third in the 1978 Bar Examinations. He has a Master of Laws degree from the University of Michigan. He was the editor-in- chief of the Philippine Law Journal in 1978. He currently sits on the boards of several corporations, including San Miguel Corporation and Alpha Aviation Group (Philippines), Inc. of which he is also President. His fields of legal practice are civil, commercial and criminal litigation, commercial arbitration, corporate law, real property law, bankruptcy law, banking, securities and finance.
the bar in 1990, and first worked as a litigation associate at another major firm prior to joining PBR when it was established in 1994. He is the current president, and a director since 2011, of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines. He is also a director of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, which runs the national electrical grid.
