While grid constraints and permitting complexity continue to pose challenges, they are also catalysing demand for energy storage investments and grid modernisation – setting the stage for a more flexible and interconnected energy system. Looking ahead, the resolution of regulatory bottle- necks, the implementation of upcoming offshore wind tenders, and the scaling-up of energy storage and interconnection projects will be pivotal to sustaining investor confidence and unlocking the next wave of deal activity.
