Yusuke Murakami is one of the leading partners in the energy and infrastructure group of Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. He has represented major investors, developers and contractors in a wide range of energy and infrastructure projects with respect to the full spectrum of project stages – development, construction (EPC), financing, M&A, joint venture, and dispute resolution. He has represented major investors and developers in many high-profile M&A deals in Japanese energy and infrastructure markets, including the historic acquisition by ENEOS Corporation of Japan Renewable Energy from Goldman Sachs in 2021. With an LLM from Harvard Law School and a secondment to Allen & Overy in London, he also has significant expertise in cross- border projects.

Yuma Ito is a partner at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto whose practice areas

include M&A and private equity transactions, as well as appraisal rights and other M&A litigation. He has advised a number of private equity and strategic buyers and sellers on their acquisitions and sales of Japanese targets, including companies in the energy and infrastructure sector. He is particularly experienced in going-private transactions, and is familiar with the relevant securities regulations and disclosure requirements. He received his LLM degree in 2022 from Columbia Law School and worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell as a foreign temporary associate.

Nobuhiko Suzuki is a partner at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto based in the firm’s New York office. His practice is particularly focused on US-Japan and other Japan-related cross-border M&A, joint ventures and venture

Masataka Hayano is a senior associate at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto based in its San Francisco Bay Area office. His
