Authors

Jan-Willem van Rooij is a senior partner in the Netherlands office of Loyens & Loeff, and chairperson of the energy and infrastructure practice group. With over 20 years of experience in energy M&A, he is recognised as a leading expert in transactional work across the sector. He advises on national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, projects and corporate matters, fully focused on energy and infrastructure. His clients include strategic investors, infrastructure funds and private equity firms. He has led numerous landmark transactions across the Dutch energy landscape, including wind, solar, carbon capture and storage, (bio)gas, port infrastructure, digital infrastructure and defence.

Anne Brugmans is a senior associate in the energy and infrastructure team at the Netherlands office of Loyens & Loeff. Anne’s practice focuses on the energy and infrastructure sector, project development, domestic and

international mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, joint ventures and general contract law. She supports clients of varying sizes and has a particular focus on energy transition projects. She assists in both ongoing project development and energy-related transactions.

Jordy Kusters is an associate in the energy and infrastructure team and the corporate/M&A practice group at Loyens & Loeff Netherlands. He advises on domestic and international M&A transactions, joint ventures, and

corporate governance matters in relation to offshore and onshore wind, solar, gas, hydrogen and other energy and infrastructure-related transactions and project developments. Jordy has experience across various sectors including energy, infrastructure and technology.
