Kazuo Yoshida is a partner at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. He has a broad range of experience in insurance law and regulations. He was assigned to the Insurance Business Division of the Supervisory
Tomonori Ogawa is a partner at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto. He holds a Master of Sciences degree in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford (2022) and was seconded in 2022 to Herbert Smith Freehills
Bureau of the Financial Services Agency of Japan from 2012 to 2014 as a fixed-term government employee (deputy director). With this background and expertise, he has worked with many domestic and foreign insurance companies on insurance law and regulatory issues, corporate governance matters, and dispute resolutions. He frequently writes articles and lectures at public seminars on insurance regulatory issues.
Kramer LLP (formerly Herbert Smith Freehills LLP), working with the firm’s London insurance team. Leveraging his experience in the UK, his main areas of expertise are insurance transactions (including reinsurance), insurance coverage, and insurance litigation. He also worked at the Insurance Business Division of the Japan Financial Services Agency from 2018-2020, giving him extensive familiarity with a wide range of insurance regulatory issues.
