KM Legal was founded by Yeşim Kumova and Melt- em Manav in Istanbul in May 2021. The firm was es- tablished to provide legal consultancy and dispute resolution services to both national and international clients, particularly in the fields of intellectual prop- erty law, competition law, IT law, contract law and corporate law. Kumova and Manav advise clients on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance and day-to-day legal operations, while also representing them in litigation, arbitration and competition investi-
gations. KM Legal conducts various compliance pro- jects in data privacy and competition for national and international clients. The firm is experienced in com- plex contract negotiations and cross-border matters and also handles IP-related contract negotiations and infringement cases. In addition to providing ad- visory services for the protection of the IP rights of rights holders established abroad in Türkiye, the firm also extensively supports global clients in localisation projects.

Meltem Manav graduated from Galatasaray University Faculty of Law. She also studied at the University of Geneva and completed an LLM in International Economic Law at the University of Barcelona, focusing on
Yeşim Kumova graduated from Koç University Faculty of Law in 2013 and holds an LLM in Economic Law from Galatasaray University, focusing on arbitration. She has experience in both corporate and litigation practice.
competition law and patents. Following her legal internship, she has practised for almost a decade, mainly in intellectual property law and corporate law. She advises national and international clients on intellectual property, competition, commercial and IT law, and has extensive experience in localisation and compliance projects, data privacy and contract negotiations.
She has focused her career primarily on competition law, while also practising in the areas of intellectual property, contracts and labour law. She has experience in litigation, merger control filings and competition investigations. Kumova advises national and international clients across various sectors, including industry, food, software and advertising, and supports businesses in both contentious and advisory matters.
