Katariina Kuum is an associate in Sorainen’s International Arbitration subgroup. She has experience in commercial and investment

arbitration under ICC, ICSID, SCC, VCCA, ECCI and UNCITRAL rules. She is a member of the team advising the first-ever Estonian investor to initiate an international investment arbitration case against a foreign country at ICSID. Ms Kuum advises clients on large-scale disputes relating to, inter alia, energy, construction, infrastructure and sanctions. She has also supported arbitral tribunals in her role as a tribunal secretary. Ms Kuum is a member of the Estonian Bar Association, Young ICCA and ICC YAAF.

and recently acted as lead counsel in proceedings under ECCI and UNCITRAL ad hoc rules. Raul is a founding member of the Estonian Arbitration Association and a recognised expert concerning the annulment of arbitral awards in Estonia. He lectures on the law of obligations at Tartu University and regularly teaches arbitration at both Tartu and Tallinn Technical University (TalTech). Recently, he trained members of the Estonian Bar Association in arbitration.
