The team has five full-time lawyers who have held various positions within the regulators and also have experience in the private sector. The team regularly represents clients in competition-related proceed - ings at the national level, and before the European Commission, and advises on compliance strategies and risk mitigation.

Anna-Stéphanie Roubier is a partner at HPP Attorneys Ltd and head of practice who specialises in EU, competition and regulatory law. She has extensive experience in antitrust matters and merger control

Milja Vuopio is an associate at HPP Attorneys Ltd who specialises in EU and competition law. Her area of expertise also covers state aid matters and public procurement law. Milja regularly advises clients on

proceedings, and represents clients in related proceedings at the national and EU levels. Anna also advises clients on state aid issues, including foreign (non-EU) subsidies and national foreign direct investment control questions. Among other positions, prior to joining HPP, Anna worked in the Brussels office of a major US law firm, and as a legal adviser at the European Chemicals Agency. She holds an LLM from the College d’Europe (Belgium), and she is qualified as a Finnish attorney-at-law.

Johanna Kauppinen is a senior associate at HPP Attorneys Ltd who specialises in EU, competition and regulatory law. Her areas of expertise include antitrust matters and merger control. She regularly advises clients

on antitrust investigations and compliance, as well as assisting in merger control proceedings. Johanna also counsels clients on issues regarding Finnish foreign direct investment (FDI) control and related administrative proceedings. Prior to joining HPP, Johanna completed a traineeship with the Finnish national competition authority, where she worked in the antitrust unit. She has also worked as a research assistant at Aalto University in the field of competition law. Johanna is qualified as a Finnish attorney-at-law.
