Frans Sonneveldt is of counsel at Mazars, having been a partner in the private client team in the Hague until 1 January 2022. He is a tax consultant and lawyer, and has extensive professional experience in Anglo-
Mike Vrijmoed is a partner in Mazars’ private client team in the Hague. He graduated from the University of Leiden in notarial law and tax law, and from the International Tax Center Leiden’s executive LLM programme in
American trusts and other trust-like devices and estate planning, including providing legal and tax advice on last wills, prenuptial agreements, divorces, gifts, emigration and immigration. Frans is a professor at Leiden University and was a visiting scholar at Harvard Law School and a member of the Moltmaker Committee engaged in the preparation of a report on the revision of the Dutch Inheritance Tax Act 1956. He is a deputy-judge at the Court of Appeals at ‘s-Hertogenbosch, and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.
