qualified solicitor before becoming an associate after admission to practice locally. Brent advises clients on establishing, restructuring and administering asset-holding structures. He holds a practising certificate issued by the New Zealand Law Society and is admitted to practice in South Africa and Queensland, Australia. Brent speaks English and Afrikaans.
Violet Yu is a senior associate in the legal team at Cone Marshall’s Auckland office. Before joining Cone Marshall, Violet practised at reputable New Zealand law firms, specialising in trusts and estates. She holds a
practising certificate issued by the New Zealand Law Society and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Originally from Hong Kong, Violet speaks Cantonese and Mandarin and can read and write Chinese in both simplified and traditional scripts.
