Zheyuan Jin is the partner in charge of the real estate department at Merits & Tree Law Offices, and has extensive experience in the development, construction, investment and financing of real

estate and infrastructure. He represents project owners including local governments, real estate developers, manufacturing enterprises and project financiers, providing litigation and non-litigation legal services for real estate projects of development, financing, sales and M&A, on projects involving residential, commercial real estate, long-term rental apartments, logistics, industrial parks and urban renewals. Mr Jin has been one of the consulting experts in the field of construction and engineering for the World Bank’s “Doing Business” report.

Lingyue Sun specialises in providing full legal services in relation to the development, management, operation, investment and acquisition of commercial complex, tourism projects, hotels and other types of

real estate projects. He has been deeply engaged in the commercial real estate and hospitality industry for over ten years, advising various renowned domestic property developers and operators as well as international hotel managers in over 100 commercial real estate and hotel projects, covering M&A, management, franchise, lease, dispute resolution and other aspects of project development and operation. Mr Sun is well experienced in solving different issues, with strong legal and business sense.

Xiang Mao is a partner at Merits & Tree Law Offices and specialises in real estate and infrastructure, M&A, rail transit and the above-ground property development, urban renewal and operation of commercial property.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Shenzhen Metro Group for many years. Mr Mao has
