Takashi Koyama is an attorney at Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners licensed in both Japan and the State of New York, and a registered patent attorney in Japan. He has extensive experience in intellectual property, cross-border transactions, export control, sanctions and foreign direct investment (FDI) issues, life science matters, and dispute resolution, including arbitration. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, he served as a negotiator for the intellectual property, investment and energy chapters in FTA/ EPA negotiations, and later became director of the Intellectual Property Affairs Division, acting as lead negotiator for intellectual property in the TPP, Japan-EU EPA, and RCEP negotiations, and as co-chair for intellectual property in the CPTPP negotiations.
Tomomi Fukutomi is an attorney at Oh-Ebashi LPC & Partners licensed in Japan. She has extensive experience in M&A, including cross-border
transactions, export control, sanctions and foreign direct
investment (FDI) issues. Tomomi previously worked for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for more than two and a half years, where she served as a deputy director of the Trade and Economic Security Bureau. In this role, she supported the implementation and amendment of FDI and export control under the FEFTA. Tomomi has also supported the implementation and amendment of other relevant economic security regulations, including the Economic Security Promotion Act.
