Brian Maloney is a partner at Seward & Kissel in the litigation and investigations group. He is a commercial litigator with deep experience in the banking, maritime, and securities sectors, representing
disputes, including finance and securities litigation in the shipping industry, traditional maritime claims, liens and environmental matters. He also advises on international trade sanctions, piracy issues before US agencies, and arbitral award enforcement. Bruce is recognised by Chambers USA and other ranking guides for his market-leading expertise, particularly in shipping litigation, where he represents bondholders, lenders, shipowners and charterers across global markets and a diverse client base.

Hannah Thibideau is a partner in Seward & Kissel’s litigation and investigations group. She represents investment advisers, broker-dealers, and senior executives in regulatory enforcement, white-collar defence,
internal investigations, and complex civil litigation. Hannah has extensive experience before the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, and other regulators in matters involving insider trading, market manipulation, accounting fraud, and money laundering. She also advises on AML, FCPA, sanctions compliance, and risk management, including internal controls, regulatory filings, and remediation. Hannah earned her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and her BA from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College.
