It started as a special - ised section of the law firm Conlegal Attorneys at Law in December 2018 under Santiago Zambrano after finishing his master’s degree in international sports law at the prestigious ISDE in Madrid. Due to the success of the sports department, Conlegal Sports &
Entertainment later absorbed Conlegal Attorneys at Law and became a specialised firm in its own right, on a national as well as international level. After more than seven years in the sports market, in 2026, Con - legal went through a significant change, creating a new logo and brandbook to reflect its standing in the Ecuadorian sports industry.

Santiago José Zambrano Solano is an Ecuadorian lawyer with an LLM in international sports law from ISDE- Madrid. He did his internship at the law firm Schlarmann von Geyso in Hamburg, Germany. Santiago is the
CEO and legal director of Conlegal Sports, and has experience working with first, second and third- division Ecuadorian clubs, Ecuadorian football players, Ecuadorian and international sports agents, and Ecuadorian and Panamerican sports federations, among others. He is a member of the disciplinary panel of the Badminton World Federation and a member of the Legal Commission of Panam Sports. He is also affiliated with the AIAF (Association Internationale des Advocates du Football) and to the LIR (The Legal Industry of the Americas).
