Risks However, there are important risks: • data protection breaches, particularly involving sensitive biometric or health data; • algorithmic bias, potentially affecting selection, recruitment or disciplinary decisions; • cybersecurity vulnerabilities; • lack of regulatory clarity, since Kenya does not yet have dedicated AI legislation; and • reputational risk, especially if AI tools are perceived to undermine fairness or transparency.
