Edward King Chua is a senior associate at Villaraza & Angangco. He has a degree in Chemistry with Materials Science and Engineering, and previously worked as a patent examiner at the Intellectual Property Office of the

law, IP commercialisation and IP litigation. Due to her breadth of experience, she is heavily involved in the growth of Villaraza & Angangco’s trade mark prosecution and litigation practice, including the firm’s foray into domain name registration and auditing. She maintains the trade mark portfolios of several of the firm’s largest clients and continues to push the firm’s enforcement and litigation practice. Danielle Francesca San Pedro is a partner at Villaraza & Angangco and has more than ten years’ experience in IP. Her practice focuses on trade mark prosecution and litigation, and on providing regulatory advice. She assists in maintaining the extensive trade mark portfolios of local and foreign IP clients, and also handles multidisciplinary matters, such as: IP commercialisation, licensing and franchising; copyright and broadcast rights vis-à-vis new technologies and the internet; data privacy; domain name audit; legal implications and regulatory requirements for over-the- top (OTT) services; and e-commerce promotion and advertisement of medical devices.

At the firm, he handles the prosecution and maintenance of trade marks, patents and industrial designs. He also handles infringement, opposition and cancellation cases before the IPOPHL and regular courts.

Kyle Gino Salazar is a junior associate at Villaraza & Angangco, specialising in IP. His practice includes trade mark and patent prosecution, as well as strategic support in IP litigation, such as

infringement, opposition and enforcement actions. He has valuable experience in handling infringement and unfair competition cases before regular courts and inter partes proceedings before the Philippine Intellectual Property Office (IPOPHL). Kyle also has expertise in domain name disputes, addressing issues like infringement, cybersquatting and trade mark violations arising from the improper use of domain names.
