media clients in transactional matters and clearance reviews. She is a past president of the Copyright Society of the USA and a member of the ABA IP Task Force on Copyright Reform. A frequent speaker and author on copyright issues, Nancy has been published by Allworth Press and ABA Landslide Journal, and co-edited the Companion to Copyright and Creativity in the 21st Century, by Focal Press.

Elizabeth Safran is a staff attorney with Cowan, DeBaets, Abrahams & Sheppard LLP’s litigation group. Elizabeth has experience across entertainment fields, through a career in music and literary industries prior

to graduating from Fordham University School of Law, where she competed with Moot Court and served as an editor on an IP law journal. She currently represents clients across copyright and trade mark fields. Elizabeth is a member of the Copyright Society of the USA and co-authored an essay in Focal Press’s Companion to Copyright and Creativity in the 21st Century, on emerging trends in copyright and artificial intelligence.
