10. ADR 10.1 Dispute Resolution Mechanisms
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) options are avail - able and include mediation, arbitration, expedited arbitration and expert determination; however, ADR is not commonly used to resolve IP disputes in prac - tice. Nevertheless, it is not unusual for parties to reach a settlement – often upon the advice of their legal counsel – after litigation has commenced.
