Steve Coopersmith is a former US Army JAG Officer, where he served as a military prosecutor, and has spent nearly three decades in the practice of law. He holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (now called UC Law San Francisco). He has received recognition from numerous publications and peer-rated review organisations. He recently completed a series of videos regarding relevant art law topics produced by the Courtauld Institute of Art, in London. Mr Coopersmith is an avid art collector, an interest that dovetails perfectly into his evolving art law practice. He is an avid year-round long-distance open water swimmer, a world traveller, and a longtime Rotarian.

Philippa Grumbley holds a B.A. from Emory University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego. She joined The Coopersmith Law Firm, LLP in 2016 and became a partner in 2023. She has experience

in a wide variety of general business litigation matters and employment matters, including claims involving corporate and partnership disputes, securities fraud, trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, contractual disputes, and other business-related torts. Ms Grumbley also assists the firm’s art law clients in business, employment and art-specific matters. She is a member of the Welsh Inn of Court, the San Diego Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.

Ashley Rastegarpour is an associate attorney at the Coopersmith Law Firm, LLP, where she works on a wide range of the firm’s cases, including business and corporate litigation and in the firm’s fine art law practice.

Ashley holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and a Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law. During law school, Ashley was provided an Academic Excellence accolade for attaining the highest grade in her Evidence class, was listed on the honor roll, and received a Wiley W. Manuel certificate for Pro Bono work with the San Diego Public Defenders office.
