Leo Shaw is senior counsel in the Corporate departments at Wakefield Quin (WQ). His practice encompasses a broad range of corporate, finance and commercial matters. Leo is a member of the ILS Bermuda steering
project financing, banking transactions, M&A, insurance and reinsurance law, group restructuring and general corporate work. He is non‐executive director for a number of international companies. Prior to joining WQ, Mr Stone was partner at Halliwells in Manchester, UK until 1999, and senior corporate counsel at Appleby in Bermuda until 2004. Mr Stone earned an LLB (Hons) from Sheffield University in 1986 and graduated from the Chester College of Law in 1987. He is a member of the Bermuda Bar Association.

Leo holds an MA in History and Politics from the University of Edinburgh and an LLB from the College of Law. Leo was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales (2013) and is a registered associate in Bermuda (2025).
