Fraser Law also worked on the ac - quisition of Stansfeld Scott (Barbados) Limited (the “target company”), a significant wine and spirits dis - tributor in Barbados. The firm negotiated the relevant transaction documents, conducted due diligence on the target company and prepared the applications to the relevant regulators.

Makela Harrison-Yarde joined Fraser Law in January of 2022 following her admission to the Bar of Barbados in October of 2021. Since joining Fraser Law, her practice has mainly focused on corporate and commercial law,

corporate restructurings, commercial advisory, capital markets and securities. Joanna is the first vice-president of the non-profit organisation BIBA, the Association for Global Business and a director of Business Barbados, the body corporate responsible for the operations of the companies registry and intellectual property functions in Barbados.
