Albert Dione is a specialist in maritime transport and customs law, advising on maritime projects and customs transactions in Guinea and the OHADA zone. He has expertise in renewable energy, particularly

hospitality sector. She has been involved in landmark deals including the Simandou project. She advised Oryx Energies on the acquisition of Puma Energy in Senegal and Taurus Finance Mining on a gold project financing in Guinea. She holds Master’s degrees from HEC Paris 12 and University of Paris 12, as well as executive certificates from Harvard Business School.

Holding a doctorate in law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, he is admitted to the Paris Bar and worked for French and international law firms before joining Thiam & Associés. He speaks English, Serer and Wolof.

Fatoumata Binta Maïga has over 13 years of experience advising businesses on multi-jurisdictional transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and project development in OHADA and beyond. She

specialises in M&A, banking and finance in the mining, energy and telecommunications sectors. She recently advised, among others, BaoSteel on the USD15 billion Simandou iron ore project in Guinea, Oryx Energies on its acquisition of Puma Energy in Senegal, and Vista Group in connection with various transactions related to its expansion in the sub- region. Before joining Thiam & Associés, she worked with top Senegalese firms and Ecobank Guinea.

Stéphanie Manguele is admitted to the Paris Bar and advises on M&A, equity investments and project finance transactions, with a focus on energy and infrastructure. She also advises pan-African groups on their

strategic expansion across the continent, including Azalaï Hotels, a regional leader in West Africa’s
