Mauricio Ejchel graduated in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in 1994, and did a postgraduate qualification in international relations. A Brazilian lawyer, he is the founding partner of

MF Ejchel International Family Law, with a specialisation in dealing with child abduction. He secured the first precedent in Brazil for the timely return of abducted children under the Hague Convention (1980), and is acknowledged as a reference lawyer in the jurisdiction by both UK and US authorities. He provides expert opinions to foreign courts and is frequently cited in the national media. He also publishes widely, and is recognised as a leading expert in the field.
