Lorne MacLean, KC is the founder of MacLean Law. He has practised since 1983, with a special focus on Canada’s most complex and high- net-worth family law matters. MacLean, K.C. regularly acts in
case and has handled cases involving international parenting disputes and substantial financial assets. He lectures across Canada on family law topics and established scholarships and awards at Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law.

Sophie Bartholomew is a partner at MacLean Law in British Columbia (BC). She previously practiced family law in Oxford, England, and is dual- qualified. Bartholomew handles complex divorce, separation, property
division, spousal/child support, and parenting disputes, with expertise in inter-jurisdictional cases. She appears in all levels of BC courts and participates in complex mediations and negotiations. Bartholomew is vice-chair of the BC Canadian Bar Association Family Law Committee and has a background in international law and human rights, including work with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
