Padelis V. Bratis was admitted to the Bar in 2020 (Athens). He received his education from the Democritus University of Thrace, School of Law (JD, 2017) and completed his postgraduate studies in Criminal Law
financial fraud, corrupt and anti-competitive practices, tax and money-laundering offences, extradition and mutual assistance requests. Since 2013, Ilias has chaired the Hellenic Criminal Bar Association (HCBA), and from 2006 to 2013 he chaired the Criminal Law Committee of the Council of the Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE). He is a professor emeritus in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at the School of Law, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Ilias has published extensively on Hellenic, European and international criminal law, business and financial crimes, criminal procedure reform and human rights.
