Malathi Lakshmikumaran serves as an Executive Director and heads the life sciences group at the IP division of LKS. She is a registered patent agent and has been actively engaged in the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications, both in India and abroad. She mainly works on pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnological patent applications, and advises clients on plant variety protection and registration. She is actively involved in the area of biodiversity and traditional knowledge. Dr Malathi has successfully supervised several PhD students in the area of plant molecular biology, and has more than 100 publications to her credit in various international and Indian journals.

Pallaash Shankhdhar is a senior associate at LKS, and has over four years of specialised experience in patent litigation and opposition practice. He has particular expertise in managing complex and contentious

patent matters before the Intellectual Property Divisions of the High Courts in Delhi, Mumbai, Madras and Calcutta, and in handling pre-grant and post-grant opposition proceedings before the Indian Patent Office. In addition to litigation and opposition work, Pallaash has experience in intellectual property due diligence, conducting prior art and invalidity searches, and providing patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions.

Khushi Lokwani is a consultant at LKS and a dynamic legal professional with experience spanning media and entertainment, intellectual property rights, capital markets and general corporate advisory. She has drafted

Vindhya S Mani is a registered advocate with the Delhi Bar Council. She is primarily involved in IP opposition/litigation matters before the Trademark Office, Patent Office, PVP Registry, IPAB, High Courts and

artist agreements, NDAs, MoUs and commercial contracts, and supported negotiations for web series, TVCs and brand collaborations. Her IP work includes drafting examination report replies, oppositions and trade mark documentation for diverse clients. Khushi has also contributed to due diligence, risk identification and legal research on FEMA, the Companies Act, ESI laws and consumer protection.
