A central feature of this transformation is the objective to integrate, on an equal footing, Euro - pean legal harmonisation, the incorporation of ESG principles, targeted decarbonisation and strategic positioning within the energy transition, underpinned by the Strategy prepared by MASU. Taken together, these elements create a new, stable industrial model for the sector. Mining in the Republic of North Macedonia is progres - sively moving towards a logic of long-term resource management in which economic, environmental and social objectives are treated as mutually interdepend - ent. For investors focused on strategic raw materials within a European – and more broadly international – regulatory environment characterised by growing legal certainty and social stability, the country is increas - ingly emerging as a competitive long-term investment destination. Its geological potential, translated into specific projects and supported by reform-oriented political will and scientific underpinning, allows the Republic of North Macedonia to position itself not merely as a source of raw materials but as a respon - sible and reliable partner within the European value chains of the energy transition.
