Mary Waithiegeni Chege is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds an LLB from the University of Nairobi and an LLM from the University of the Witwatersrand. She leads the practice at EMSI &
Joy Odhiambo works in the corporate and commercial and energy practices at EMSI & Associates. Her experience ranges from advising multinationals
as inbound investors into Kenya to assisting in regulatory licensing and compliance, as well as providing general commercial transactional support. She has been involved in drafting various project agreements, including joint venture agreements, construction agreements and power supply agreements, as well as participating in due diligence exercises for private local and international clients. Joy holds an LLB from the University of Nairobi and is a registered Certified Public Secretary.
Associates, with a special focus on international and project finance and PPPs as delivery mechanisms for much-needed infrastructure, primarily across the energy, transport and water sectors. She is a Certified PPP Practitioner (CP3P®) and accredited trainer. Mary currently serves as a member of the Expert Advisory Board of Oxford University’s Climate Policy Monitor.
Mary Anne Wachira works in the corporate and commercial law, energy and infrastructure practices at EMSI & Associates. As part of her practice, she advises on various multi-lateral donor-funded and privately funded
projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors. She has advised on PPP and energy transactions, providing support in the drafting and negotiation of project agreements and term sheets, and participating in due diligence exercises. Mary Anne holds an LLB from the University of Nairobi. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and a registered Certified Secretary with the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya.
