Sam Anastasiou is a senior associate based in Abu Dhabi, specialising in advising developers, sponsors and government entities on major power
generation, transmission and distribution projects across the Middle East. He has particular experience supporting the procurement, development, financing and operation of large-scale energy infrastructure, spanning conventional and renewable power generation assets including solar, wind, BESS and integrated utilities projects and the broader infrastructure required to support them. He also advises on complex construction-related claims and disputes arising from project delivery.

Brendan’s recent focus has been on energy transition projects and transactions supporting industrial decarbonisation, low-carbon hydrogen and fuel production and energy supply for AI and digital infrastructure. Brendan holds first-class honours degrees in law and business and is English and New South Wales (Australia) law qualified. Dan Feldman leads King & Spalding’s global energy team of over 350 lawyers from the firm’s Abu Dhabi office. With 23 years of experience, his practice spans the full energy value chain, including oil and gas, low-carbon energy, power, infrastructure and mining megaprojects. He has advised clients including ADNOC, Chevron, NEOM, Woodside and JERA on landmark and first-in-kind transactions such as ADNOC’s acquisition of stakes in ExxonMobil’s Baytown hydrogen facility and NEOM’s USD8.4 billion green hydrogen project.
Saiesh Kamath is an associate based in King & Spalding’s Abu Dhabi office. He advises on the development, acquisition and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, with particular experience in energy
transition, hydrogen, carbon capture, biofuels and other low-carbon technologies. His practice also includes energy regulatory matters, particularly EU regulatory frameworks, as well as private credit and fund finance transactions. Saiesh has advised sponsors, developers, lenders and state-owned entities on projects across the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
