Bech-Bruun is a market-oriented law firm offering a wide range of specialist advisory services to large sections of the Danish corporate and public sectors, as well as to global enterprises. Consisting of around 600 experienced and highly specialised employees, of whom 57 are partners, Bech-Bruun is one of Den - mark’s leading full-service law firms. Bech-Bruun’s shipping and logistics group, comprising about ten
individuals, advises on all legal aspects of shipping, transport and logistics. It co-operates with leading in - ternational transport lawyers and maintains an exten - sive international network to service its clients. Bech- Bruun is involved in the majority of shipping deals in Denmark, and is particularly known for maritime insolvency and issues related to the bunker industry.
Authors
Johannes Grove Nielsen is a partner and department head of Bech- Bruun’s litigation and shipping group, and former co-chair of the Maritime and Transport Committee of the IBA. He advises on all aspects of maritime,
shipping conferences. She holds an LLM in Maritime Law from the National University of Singapore.
Lars Rosenberg Overby is a senior associate in Bech-Bruun’s shipping and litigation group. Lars was involved in drafting the standard
transport and offshore law, and is an experienced litigator admitted to the Danish Supreme Court. He is part of Bech-Bruun’s cross-border insolvency shipping team, and has particular experience with US Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings. Johannes has led Bech-Bruun’s OW bunker cases and handled many derivative lawsuits. He holds an MBA in Shipping & Logistics from Copenhagen Business School.

He is also chairperson of the Danish Maritime Law Association and active in the Polar Shipping Committee in Comité Maritime International. Lars has a background in P&I/defence insurance. Further, he is a juris doctor, completing a degree at the Institute of Maritime Law, University of Oslo. Lars has written several books and articles on maritime law topics and has been an external lecturer in maritime law at the University of Copenhagen.
Camilla Søgaard Hudson is a partner in Bech-Bruun’s shipping and litigation group. She specialises in all aspects of maritime, transport, offshore and insurance law. Camilla handles cases on the carriage of
Malthe Hersom Kløft is an associate in Bech-Bruun’s shipping and litigation group. He provides legal support across a broad range of maritime, transport, offshore and insurance matters, assisting domestic
goods, charterparties and bunker disputes (among others), rendering legal advice to Danish and non- Danish business clients including insurance companies, P&I clubs, ship-owners and cargo interests. She is part of Bech-Bruun’s ESG team, advising on compliance and disputes regarding green shipping. Camilla is the former vice-president of the Transport Law Commission of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), and is often a speaker at national and international
and international clients with complex issues relating to shipping operations and dispute resolution. As part of Bech-Bruun’s shipping ESG team, Malthe is actively involved in advising on regulatory compliance. He regularly contributes to academic discourse on ESG in the maritime sector through
