Author
André Kegels read law at Leuven Law School. After his training at the Brussels Bar, he worked in the UK at an English law firm and marine insurers. He then joined the Antwerp Bar, where he practised maritime,
transport and trade law. His English and French publications concern all aspects of maritime and transport law and the law of logistics. He is also a regular speaker at international conferences and a guest lecturer at universities, on topics such as ship-arrest, autonomous vessels and carriers’ liability. He has been asked to assist in the re-drafting of the chapter in the Belgian Maritime Code on chartering and carriage on Belgian interior waterways. He is also an officer at the International Bar Association.
