In terms of administrative liability, under the Highway Act and the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, the driver remains responsible for vehicle control and is liable for any traffic violations committed dur - ing operation. As autonomous vehicle technology continues to evolve, the allocation of liability is expected to become increasingly complex. It is anticipated that legislators will revisit and amend existing legal frameworks to more clearly delineate the respective responsibilities and risks borne by human operators and AI systems.
