Ricardo Melaré advises on the structuring, negotiation and execution of corporate transactions and strategic deals, with strong experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private
advising companies and financial institutions on mergers, acquisitions, incorporations, corporate reorganisations, debt issuances and credit workouts. He co-ordinates multidisciplinary due diligence across all of /asbz’s practice areas in connection with M&A, restructurings and liability management transactions. Before joining /asbz, he served as legal director of one of the ten largest technology companies in Brazil and he acted as in-house counsel at a Brazilian financial institution on secondment from the firm.

Gabriela Claro is responsible for leading local and cross-border transactional operations, advising domestic and foreign clients on mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, capital raising, business structuring
and cross-border, across various sectors of the economy. He has extensive experience assisting foreign players, particularly on matters related to agricultural operations in Brazil. Leader of the special situations practice, focusing on the acquisition and disposal of dispersed claims, single-name credits, and stressed assets and/or companies. Founder and former president of the Brazilian Agribusiness Law Association. Author of national and international publications, as well as a speaker at events in Brazil, the USA and the UK.
