The government has also announced its inten - tion to increase transparency over company ownership, including to introduce a public reg - istry of corporate beneficial ownership. While the focus is to prevent corporate money laundering and tax evasion, this will also have a positive impact upon combating bribery and corruption. No timeline has yet been established.
