She has been working in the region since 2013 and has extensive real estate experience, having been involved in a range of acquisition, divestment, project development, design build and lease agreements; commercial and retail leasing transactions; project developments (including mixed-use developments, retail, industrial and office premises); subdivision, community/strata titling and development schemes in respect of mixed-use developments; and development and establishment of hotels and serviced apartments (owner/operator).

Duncan Pickering leads DLA Piper’s Middle East real estate practice group. He has more than 25 years’ experience in advising clients on real estate transactions, including

investment acquisitions and disposals as well as transactions with cross-border/complex structuring elements. He acts on the development and leasing of large mixed-use schemes. Duncan undertakes advisory engagements for clients across the Middle East relating to the design and implementation of regulatory systems for the registration and management of real estate at national and project levels. Duncan is now based in the UK, but his practice is still exclusively focused on clients and transactions in the Middle East.
