Professor of Privacy, Cybersecurity and IT Contract Law at the European Centre on Privacy and Cybersecurity within the Maastricht University Faculty of Law, and a member of the EUMETSAT Data Protection Supervisory Authority and the Europrivacy Board of Experts. Paolo is admitted to the Milan and Amsterdam Bars, and is involved in European Commission studies on new technologies, in addition to participating in the revision of the EU Commission proposal for a General Data Protection Regulation.
2008. He is a member of the IAPP and CIPP/E, and a TÜV Italia Certified Privacy Officer. Luca serves as an independent ethics and privacy adviser for several European research and innovation projects (Horizon 2020) and as an expert coach for the Executive Agency for Small & Medium-sized Enterprises of the European Commission. He is a member of the Experts Board of EU-IoT and co-chair of the Europrivacy Certification Scheme Board of Senior Experts.
