Ángel Pérez López is a partner in the banking and finance practice of Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office. He joined the firm in 2000 after working as a financial analyst for a leading Spanish corporate finance firm. Ángel focuses his practice on corporate, acquisition and project finance as well as refinancings and debt restructurings. Since 2011, Ángel has also participated in numerous sales and acquisitions of non-strategic assets of financial institutions, such as non-performing loans, real estate assets and property management platforms. From September 2007 to March 2008, Ángel was seconded to the New York headquarters of the US firm Debevoise & Plimpton, LLP, where he worked in the acquisition finance group as an international associate.
Luis Jiménez is a partner in the banking and finance practice of Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office. He joined the firm in 2010 and was named partner in 2021. Between May 2015 and June
2016, he was based in Uría Menéndez’s office in New York. He focuses his practice on debt restructuring transactions, corporate lending, acquisition finance and project finance, advising both lenders and borrowers. He has been involved in some of the largest and most innovative financing and debt restructuring transactions in Spain in recent years. Luis has also participated in several M&A transactions and project finance related to the energy sector.
