She has extensive experience in representing companies in dawn raids, cartel investigations, compliance and Dutch merger control, including phase II investigations. She has also acted as compliance officer for one of the largest professional associations in the Netherlands in relation to a commitments decision of the (ACM).

Cees joined Simmons & Simmons as a consultant in 2022 after many years as a partner in another law firm. Cees has assisted and advised companies and industry associations in more than 30 cartel investigations, including dawn raids, by the Dutch Competition Authority (of which he was the first head of the legal department) and the European Commission, and has litigated before the EU and Dutch courts.
