Ioannis Charalampopoulos is a partner and head of corporate and M&A at Machas & Partners. He advises on a wide range of corporate transactions across sectors including real estate and
privatisations and project development with a focus on infrastructure and utilities. He has managed major real estate privatisation projects, including the Ellinikon project for the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund. Formerly, he served as Secretary General of Economic Policy in the Ministry of Finance, overseeing state aid, privatisations and corporate governance reforms, including the drafting of Law 4972/2022. Nikolaos has been a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1998, is licensed to practise before Greece’s Supreme Court and holds an LL.M. in Labour Law from the University of Nuremberg.
