Tan Shao Tong is the head of the tax practice at WongPartnership. His key areas of expertise include income tax, goods and services tax, stamp duty and property tax. Shao

He represents clients (including developers, contractors and consultants) in court and arbitration proceedings involving large-scale energy and utilities projects, construction and engineering contracts, and supply and offtake agreements. Peng Cheng is also active in drafting and reviewing contracts, project documentation and the management of construction claims. He is appointed to the panel of arbitrators and adjudicators of various institutions regionally, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Tong’s practice covers both transactional and dispute matters, with clients ranging from real estate companies, funds and banks to trust companies and multinational corporations. He is admitted to the Singapore Bar, an Accredited Tax Advisor (income tax) with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
