The firm assists its clients on every aspect of their transactions, including the drafting and negotiation of invest - ment protocols and shareholders’ agreements, the issue of composite securities, and manage - ment and employee incentive plans. It has long- standing experience across a wide variety of sectors. Donald Davy is counsel in Gide’s Mergers & Acquisitions team in Paris. He specialises in technology transactions (M&A, venture capital, growth equity and LBOs). Donald has been involved in many complex deals, including some of the most characteristic transactions of the French VC market in recent years. He advises both investors and start-ups. An MBA graduate of the international ESSEC Business School, Donald also holds a Master’s degree in Business and Tax Law.

David-James Sebag is a partner in Gide’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice group and specialises in technology transactions (venture capital, growth equity, M&A and LBOs), with a focus on

cross-border deals. He represents private equity investors or fast-growing companies on successful VC and growth transactions. He regularly advises US and international clients in their French deals, as well as entrepreneurs on financings or acquisitions, in both France and the US. David-James is co-head of Gide’s VC global practice group and head of the New York office. He is a Member of the New York and Paris Bars and splits his time between Gide’s New York and Paris offices.

Marie-Sophie Chevreteau is a senior associate in Gide’s M&A team in Paris. She joined the firm in October 2019 and specialises in in technology transactions (M&A, venture

capital, growth equity and LBOs) with a focus on cross-border deals. Marie-Sophie advises both start-ups and VC/PE funds. Marie-Sophie was seconded to Gide’s New York office for a year in 2022–2023.
