A foreign investor will gen - erally be required to file an investment report or securities acquisition report with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency or a foreign exchange bank prior to the closing of its invest - ment. The specific type and procedure for filing vary depending on the type of equity acquired and the amount of investment, but such reports are generally considered to be a routine matter.
