Jeonghye Sophie Ahn is co-chair of the international dispute resolution practice at Yulchon and practises primarily in international arbitration. Jeonghye has acted as counsel and an arbitrator under the Singapore
corporate/M&A practice, with more than 30 years’ experience. He has acted as presiding arbitrator, sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and counsel in numerous international arbitrations under various institutions, including the ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, American Arbitration Association, Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, World Intellectual Property Organization, Singapore International Arbitration Centre, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and Shanghai International Arbitration Centre. Yun Jae completed his studies at Harvard Law School and is licensed to practise in both South Korea and New York.
International Arbitration Centre, ICC, Korean Commercial Arbitration Board and UNCITRAL rules in international arbitrations arising from a diverse range of commercial and corporate transactions, including joint venture, intellectual property, TMT and construction. Jeonghye has also been involved in a number of investor–dispute arbitrations and published articles such as “Imperfection of the Principle of Non-retroactivity of Treaties – Focusing on Jurisdiction Ratione Temporis of Investor–State Dispute Settlement Cases”.
