Omer Ali Abdelrahman is the founder of Omer Ali Law Firm, and holds the following law degrees: Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Faculty of Law, University of Khartoum, Sudan, 1980; Master of Laws (LLM), Commercial and Corporate Law, Queen Mary & Westfield College, University of London, 1997; and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, 2004. He is member of the Sudanese Bar, and started his legal career in 1980, with practice as a lawyer/in-house legal adviser in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the UK. He taught law at the Faculty of Law, University of Khartoum (2010 to 2015) and is a member of the Africa Legal Network (ALN), an independent alliance of leading law firms in Africa.
