Chisuwo Hamwela is a partner at Nchito & Nchito with over a decade of post-admission experience. His practice spans competition, arbitration, corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, banking and
arbitration, complemented by extensive experience in anti-corruption work and high-stakes litigation. From 2011 to 2016, he served as Zambia’s Director of Public Prosecutions. More recently, he has led landmark public interest cases, including the protection of Lusaka’s water aquifers and efforts to combat illegal Mukula tree trading. Mutembo has also represented investors and corporates in major negotiations. He holds an LLM from King’s College London.

Recently, she provided legal counsel to a UK-based lender on a USD3 million facility to a Zambian microfinance institution, and participated in mining-related shareholder negotiations with the government of Zambia.
