Geraldine Carr is a partner in the employment, pensions and benefits group at Matheson. She advises clients across various industries in the public and private sectors on all aspects of the employment relationship, from recruitment to termination of employment, dispute resolution and mediation. She has extensive experience in relation to the management of employees, senior executive appointments and terminations, background checks, outsourcing and insourcing, and the transfer of undertakings, restructurings, change management and industrial relations. She has represented clients before the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court, Circuit Court and High Court and frequently provides training workshops for clients and speaks at external conferences.
Carlo Salizzo is a partner in the technology and innovation group at Matheson. He
specialises in data protection, technology outsourcing, product regulatory and intellectual property. He is also experienced in managing the legal response to urgent and critical incidents including personal data breaches and contentious data subject access requests, both in terms of internal responses and managing interactions with regulators. He also advises on issues relating to electronic signatures, Irish gambling legislation and export control. He is a member of the Irish Funds fintech working group and has lectured at Trinity College and with the Law Society of Ireland on technology law issues.
Simon Shinkwin is a partner in the competition and regulation law group at Matheson. His practice focuses on heavily regulated sectors and clients, particularly on merger control
and foreign investment screening, behavioural competition issues and sectoral regulation. As part of his regulated sector practice, he advises on compliance with telecommunications, media, technology, life sciences, food and beverage and FMCG products on all aspects of the sector. He is a tutor in the Law Society of Ireland for trainee solicitors and contributes articles to leading international legal publications.
