While wage growth remains modest, expectations are rising. Employers must balance budget constraints with competitive offers. Key wage values include the following: • minimum wage – RON4,050 (gross); • average net salary – approximately EUR925/month; • income tax – flat rate of 10%; and • social contributions – around 35% of gross salary. Recent fiscal reforms have removed certain tax exemptions, affecting net income for certain catego - ries of workers (eg, IT, construction).
